About the studio · Oakhurst, NJ
We read what you recorded. Then we set it in type.
Anchovy & Atlas is a small agency with one narrow job: taking podcast and webinar recordings and turning them into pages a search engine can read and a buyer can finish. We work from a desk on Curtis Avenue, and we bill by the sprint, ten episodes at a time.
Why a fish and a map
Origin
A small fish, a large chart.
Small, salted, kept. That is the whole brief.
The name is two objects on a desk. The anchovy is the humblest thing in the pantry and the one that makes everything around it taste more like itself: a little salt, a long shelf life, an outsized effect. The atlas is the other half of the job, knowing where a thing sits relative to everything else, which for a recording means which query it should answer and which page should lead into it.
We started the studio after watching the same thing happen to good shows, again and again. An hour of real expertise would be recorded, posted and then left to fend for itself with three lines of notes and a streaming link. The people who needed that hour most were typing its exact sentences into a search box and finding someone else.
So we narrowed the work until it fit on one page. We do not run your channels, manage your ads or advise on your launch. We take recordings you already own and turn each into a transcript, a landing page and a post, each aimed at a phrase we chose with you in advance.
That narrowness is the point. A studio that does one thing learns its small failures: where a guest’s phrasing drifts from the keyword, how a timestamp should read, why a title written for an episode number never ranks. We would rather know ten episodes of that work deeply than a hundred things loosely.

Send two episodes and we’ll tell you what they could rank for.
House rules
Five habits we keep on every sprint.
-
The guest is quoted as recorded.
We tighten filler and fix spelling, but we never put words in a guest’s mouth. If a line is quoted, it can be found in the audio at the timestamp we give.
-
The keyword comes before the draft.
Every episode gets a primary phrase and two supporting ones, and you sign the map off. A post written first and optimised afterwards reads like it.
-
A page must stand without the audio.
Someone who never presses play should still leave with the argument. The audio is the proof, not the prerequisite.
-
We set the voice early, in three tries.
Before episode one is drafted we write a single paragraph three ways. You choose the one that sounds like your company, and that choice governs ten episodes.
-
We say when a page is still in the queue.
Indexing is not instant, and we won’t pretend it is. The note after episode ten lists what has been picked up and what is still waiting.
The desk
Where the work is done.
The studio is a single room at 929 Curtis Avenue in Oakhurst, New Jersey, with a long table, two monitors and a wall of printed transcripts that have been marked up in pencil. Clients record wherever they record. What reaches us is a feed link or a file, and what goes back is clean HTML.
Visits are welcome by appointment on weekdays. Bring a recording you’re unsure about and we’ll read it through together.
